The history of Hallym Polytechnic University has been the continuation of the best performances. Along the long history, we have found out the key attributes of talents that the industries need and so produced talents optimized to their needs. Hallym Polytechnic University provides and realizes a new model of specialized vocational education. We secure investments through the government-sponsored projects, so as to improve the quality of education and its environment, and enhance students’ competitiveness in the job market. Hallym Polytechnic University is the cradle of talents and is recognized by the local community. Through majors in healing tourism & leisure, health and medical care, ICT convergence, etc. and vocation education centered on field experience, we cultivate experts in glocal healthtainment, the essential growth engine of the region.
We have built a solid cooperation system with the government and industries based on our specialized vocational education. By doing so, we provide students with greater opportunities for employment and companies with new technologies and workforce with practical skills. As the only university in Gangwon Province in close collaboration with industries, we provide NCS education customized to the fields and drive the future of industries.
We also run lifelong education programs to help the seniors in the local community get a job or start a business as they prepare to start a new career after retirement. In-depth major programs (junior to senior years) are designed to let graduates and the employed who hope to learn more acquire a bachelor’s degree and prepare for a better future.
